Defy Epoxy

Defy Epoxy Fortified Wood Stain is a high-grade semi-transparent finish that aids in the prevention of damaging effects caused by moisture, mold, mildew, and UV rays. It’s a low VOC-compliant epoxy resin that penetrates deep into the wood pores to seal out water and UV rays to offer long-lasting protection from graying, rot, and wood decay.

Defy Epoxy is a unique blend of epoxy resins that can be used on interior or exterior wood surfaces. It is best used on pressure treated and rough sawn lumber. It is easy to maintain, resists flaking and peeling, provides the toughness and performance of Epoxy, and cleans up with soap and water.

Defy Extreme (Improved version of the Defy Epoxy with Nano-Particles of Zinc Oxide)

Defy Extreme is the newest formula of wood stain using new technology to provide a long-lasting finish. Researched, developed, and tested for a year and a half, Defy Extreme has taken the performance of exterior semi-transparent wood stains to a whole new level. With increased durability, performance, and weather resistance, Defy Extreme blocks out and absorbs harmful UV rays to act like a sunscreen keeping the wood from becoming damaged. Not only will this help with prolonging the graying, but the nano-particles are highly resistant to mold and mildew, enabling you to retain the natural color.

Defy Extreme is better suited for smooth surfaces, unlike Defy Epoxy which is best on rough-sawn surfaces. Defy Extreme can be used on smooth wood siding, decks, wood furniture, and other hardwoods. It can also be used in both interior and exterior applications where needed. Because it dives deep into smooth wood surfaces it provides excellent protection from water penetration, UV rays, mold, and mildew. It is also Eco-Friendly and VOC-compliant and cleans up with soapy water.

Choose the Defy Wood Stain that works best for your needs. Give your interior and exterior wood surfaces lasting beauty and protection with Defy Extreme or Defy Epoxy.

I have a pressure treated wood deck that is about 10 years old and have used Defy stain twice so it’s time do do another.
I had some mold ? (green) and used a “rinse and ?” cleaner which removed just about everything and the deck looks terrible.
So do I power wash the deck, use the wood brightener and then the stain?
The deck size is approx. 500 square feet so 5 gal of the prep and then 5 gal if the stain? The wet on wet confuses me on quantity.
